Currently only local or public http video content is supported. It would be nice to have more options for different content providers. This could include a new content provider architecture as well as a plugin system.

Content Provider Architecture

abstract Content Provider Class
local and public http stream become content providers
support other types of content besides movies and tv-shows (abstract class: media, with mediaURL as identifier)

Note: this is currently very incomplete
